What is a PAC?

East Hampton Conservators is a Political Action Committee (PAC) registered with Suffolk County and New York State Boards of Elections.

PACs are neither political parties nor political committees. They do not select candidates to run for public office.

PACs are private organizations created to raise funds to support political parties, committees, and candidates, and promote legislation.

East Hampton Conservators differs from local environmental not-for-profits in that we can support environmental protection and quality of life candidates and help elect them to public office. Not-for-profit organizations cannot support political candidates for public office.

One of the best ways to support environmental protection and quality of life legislation is to elect candidates to public office who will support it.
